Who We Are:
The Vine Preparatory Academy is a Christian home school group that partners with families who have a heart for homeschooling. "V.P.A." was established in 2002 by a group of homeschooling moms who wanted to get their kids together for classes. The idea continued to grow into what The Vine is today, a group of homeschooling parents   that have an opportunity to home school with a "twist". Our goals continue to include; Godly character development, a commitment to excellence in education, and a "heart" toward ministry to the family and community.

What we do:
Each year Vine Prep Academy files a private school affidavit with the State of California. We are considered a Private School Satellite Program. The Vine comes alongside each homeschooling family to help mentor and guide in their educational endeavors. We offer two special programs for this quest. In utilizing either of these programs, the state requirements are completely covered.

Two Day Program:
Children enrolled in our 2-day program spend Tuesday and Thursday of each week in grade appropriate classes located in Laguna Niguel. Each classroom is conducive to an optimal learning environment. Using the Vine's curriculum list, each classroom teacher creates weekly lesson plans. In partnership with your child's classroom teacher, the parent teaches at home Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. In this distinctive program, the parent-teacher and the classroom teacher work as a team to provide a combined and varied approach to learning.

Private Satellite Program:
In using our Private Satellite Program (PSP) the student(s) are educated at home by the parent on a full time basis. Each family has the benefit of receiving guidance and support from any of the classroom teachers and also has the option of using the Vine's curriculum lists and lesson plans to help in their educational journey.

Families in both the PSP and two day programs are highly encouraged to participate in the field trips and after-school enrichment programs.

Where We're Going:
It is our earnest desire to see God continue to help build this work in order that we might be able to service like-minded Christian families to "train up a child in the way they should go" Our hope is to equip and build up each homeschooling family and to help them utilize the tools the Lord has given them to home school.
